Message from the Librarian

Josleen Rutere-Soita
University Librarian
Pan Africa Christian University

It gives me much pleasure to welcome you to the Richard Ondeng' Library website — our virtual space in the global web of information.

In this age of information explosion, the Library team will help you locate, select and acquire the information you need. The Library acquires both print and electronic resources that support the various academic programmes. The e-books and e-journals are accessible both onsite and offsite.

The Richard Ondeng' Library continues to partner with faculty in supporting the University's curriculum through the provision of high quality information resources. As a strong believer in open access, I encourage scholars to share their research with the rest of the world.

Technology is there to complement and not replace the library. In this regard, I still encourage you to frequently visit our physical library which has thousands of print books, journals, and other fantastic user facilities on the 1st floor — including private study carrels, theatre, e-resources lab, and discussion rooms.

Considering the vast amount of information available on the web and in print, the library endeavours to impart information literacy skills to its users. Training is held in the library's e-resources lab where users are guided through the information literacy curriculum. Our Library also actively participates in inter-library lending — students are encouraged to consult with Library staff on the inter-library loan procedures.
