All users are required to show their School or Staff IDs to the security officer upon entrance. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited. All devices must be on silent mode before entering. All bags, cases, and folders must be left in the luggage area outside the library. Eating, drinking, smoking, and sleeping in the library are not allowed. Group discussions are only allowed in the discussion room with noise kept to a minimum. Seats in the library may not be reserved. Users are not allowed to re-shelve books. Leave them on the table or the trolley near the door. Borrowing Procedure All students must present their college ID before borrowing any library materials. Students may borrow a maximum of 10 books for a period of two weeks. All borrowed materials must be returned on or before the due date. Students are not allowed to borrow books on behalf of others or transfer borrowed materials. Reference books, newspapers, journals, and magazines can only be used within the library. Damage &amp; Loss of Materials Anyone caught marking, defacing, or mutilating library materials will be required to pay for the current edition replacement. Lost books must be reported to the librarian immediately and replaced or paid for within 30 days. If a book is not returned within 30 days after the due date, the borrower will be charged its replacement value plus KES 500 processing fee. Users must ensure books they borrow are in good condition to avoid being held responsible for pre-existing damage. E-books and e-journals are for non-commercial, educational, and research purposes only. Users may download or quote limited amounts of information with proper attribution. Users may not systematically download large amounts of information. Users may not distribute copies of materials to individuals or groups.
